Lochinvar National Park
This small, 410 sq km park, consists of grassland, low wooded hills and the seasonally flooded Chunga Lagoon – all part of a huge, impressive wetland called the Kafue Flats. Lochinvar was virtually abandoned in the 1980's and since then various developers have come and gone but now in collaboration with Zambia’s Department of National Parks and Wildlife, WWF has been working with the local communities to manage the park on a sustainable basis for the benefit of both the people and the wildlife. Assignment for WWF.
